Points: 150

The goal of this part of the assignment is to create the instructional materials, based on the instructional strategies you have specified in Assignment 3.1. This will be the fun part for many of you (finally!) as you will get to use many of the skills you have leanred in other TCO courses. The end product of this assignment will be an instruction manual, a computer-based tutorial, or instruction in the delivery format you have chosen.

To complete this assignment, you must select the media for delivery of the instruction, write and produce the instructional materials, and layout a plan for actually delivering the instruction. We will do “usability” testing of your instruction in Assignment 4.

This part of the assignment should contain the following items:

  • A plan for delivering the instruction – this is essentially a guide for the instructor
    • Organize the plan according to Gagne’s nine events of instruction
  • The instructional materials – these can be in draft form and should include handouts, screen captures, etc.

Note: You do not have enough time to create a finished, polished, and revised version of your instructional materials based upon the results of your formative evaluation. So this assignment is considered to be "draft" form.

If you build it well, they will learn.
