By the end of week six, you should be able to:
No one is assigned a blog pots this week. But...everyone can post articles at any time as well, just as Lisa did this week. The blog is meant to be a collective and ongoing conversation, so please participate as much as possible.

Golbeck, Robles, and Turner. Predicting Personaliy with Social Media.
Be able to discuss the "big five" personality types revealed by social media and how the authors tried to predict user and organizational personalities from social media profiles.

Childs and Martin. Social Media Profiles: Striking the Right Balance, American Journal of Health System Pharmacy
Be able to discuss the concepts of profile types, public knowledge, private knowledge, screening, and image, and how your profile may affect your career.
Examine your organization's social media profile. Is it consistent across platforms? Are visuals the same, or at least based on the same theme? Is the text used to describe your organization consistent? Does the profile represent a genuine reflection of your organization's mission, purpose, and culture? Does it communicate what it is intended to communicate?
Examine your personal profiles across the social media platforms you use. How consistent are you at portraying yourself online? Have you created social media accounts but later abandoned them...and how do the abandoned accounts reflect on your image? Google yourself and be ready to discuss what a search about you reveals...to others, to potential employers, and others who may be important to your profession.
1. First, we'll begin with a brief discussion of our readings.
2. Second, let's talk about the profiles of your organization, focusing on alignment and integration.
3. Third, we'll discuss your progress and get an update on the organizations you are studying for the Best Practices assignment. Here are the teams:
Team One: Ken, Varad, Diana
Team Two: Lisa and John
4. Finally, we'll conclude with an overview of the July 8 session, in which we'll have another guest speaker.
