Mission Statement

The Engineering Research Program was re-established in 2011 to expand opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to engage in research and mentored scholarship at Mercer University. We support student-centered, faculty-guided research activities with Mercer University faculty or other national and international experts via summer scholarship and fellowship opportunities. Research opportunities are available in virtually all areas, but are mainly focused in engineering and sciences. If you join one of the research activities we offer, you may witness how inquiry, discovery, and creativity can culminate in advancements in knowledge that prepare you to address future, unsolved problems and to assume important roles as enlightened citizens and leaders.
