Adventures of Dr. Chris Grant of Mercer University and 2006 Fulbright Scholar

Moldova is one of 15 republics of the former Soviet Union.  It has been an independent nation since 1991 and is located between Ukraine and Romania. Most Moldovans speak either Romanian, Russian, or usually both.  The capital is Chisinau (in Romanian) or Kishinev (in Russian).  The Trans-Dneistr region  declared independence from the rest of the nation and the Gaugaz autonomous region that is made up of Christians of Turkish descent.  Moldova is a wine producing nation.
