Advisors

Our advisors and youth leaders are dedicated to serving the youth of St. John Baptist Church. They are in charge of planning and organizing events as well as encouraging the youth through prayer and counseling. Their goal is to challenge each member to become bold in their walk with God. Through fundraising opportunities, shut-ins, and prayer services, the advisors and leaders seek to motivate and inspire each young person to be all that God made them to be. Selena Dinkins Sis. Dinkins is the director of the youth department at St. John. She is also a professional photographer. She uses her skills behind the camera to capture many events that take place around the church and the community. Tequeka Reese Tequeka is a youth and praise leader at St. John. She is a member of four out of the five choirs in St. John and teaches Sunday School to the youth in grades 3 through 5. Tequeka is also a member of the Ultimate Choice Choir and she works in the finance department of St. John as well. Claire Slocumb Claire is a youth leader and church announcer at St. John. Claire also sings in the Senior choir and teaches Sunday School to the youth in grades 9 through 12. Claire is a full time student at Mercer University studying psychology. Claire is in charge of spiritual awareness and prayer within the department.   Email Claire at: missclaralee@yahoo.com
