| FINAL EXAM | Our final exam will be held on Dec 9 on campus. Please email me ASAP if you will be TDY on Dec 9. The Final Exam will cover everything we have done in class except for the two Managerial Statistics assignments. Although the exam will be comprehensive, approximately one-third of the questions will be on material I have not tested you on previously. You may use your text as a reference. No other reference materials will be allowed. You may not use calculators or cell phones during the exam. |

Extra Credit Opportunities for ETM 627 Fall 2008 You may submit up to two extra credit assignments. The assignments are due Friday December 12 at noon.
Option 1 Documentation of the Economic Case for Quality
Review five articles referenced in the Economic Case for Quality paper that was assigned earlier this year. Print out the full text of those articles. Write a 1.5 to 2 page paper (that summarizes/compares the results described in the five articles. Submission of the full text of the five articles and the 2-page paper may be made electronically or delivered to Dr. Burtner's Macon office mailbox in hard copy.
Option 2 Quality Professional Interview Report
Conduct an interview of a person employed in some area of quality. The quality professional you choose to interview does not need to be currently working at your place of employment. Email me for advanced approval of the individual you would like to interview. The format for the Interview Report (including required questions) is posted on the course web site.
Option 3 Quality Management System Status Survey
Administer the Quality Management System Status Survey to a minimum of ten people in your organization. Collate the results in an Excel spreadsheet (filename: QMS_Survey_ yourname ). The basic survey is posted on the course web site. You may add (or replace) up to five of your own questions to the basic survey. IMPORTANT: If you modify the survey, make sure the form does not exceed one page. Submit the completed surveys and the Excel spreadsheet electronically or in hard copy to Dr. Burtner's Macon office mailbox.
Option 4 Written Case Study Report
Write a 4-5 page paper based on your case study. Include at least five references. This option requires written approval from the instructor in advance .
