My research interests include:

A few years ago, I was involved in the development of conformable (i.e., non-cylindrical) composite pressure vessels for on-board gaseous fuel storage in alternate fuel vehicles; for example, compressed natural gas for use in CNG vehicles, or hydrogen for use in fuel cell vehicles.  The non-cylindrical geometry provides additional flexibility in packaging the tanks on the vehicle, providing for increased vehicle range.  With the recent increases in gasoline prices, this work has had renewed interest. A high-level overview of the work is given here.
