Objectives for Week 10 -- Present Proposal PowerPoint presentations
1. Present proposal presentations -- all four groups.
2. Summarize semester.
This week you should be finishing up the peer reviews of the completed proposals. Again, peer review partners are:
Team 1: Kevin, James, Mike -- Team 4: Jacob, Rachel, Rooshi, Dillon
Team 2: Andrea, Wilson, Brad -- Team 3: Emily, Kyanne, Brennen
Each team needs to appoint a communication leader to email the documents to the other team. Each team needs to review the documents, and one person needs to complete the rubrics, make sure the rest of the team supports the critique, and then return the documents to the other team.
SUPPORTING INFORMATION -- PROPOSAL FORMATTING
Remember that your proposal should be formatted in this order:
Title Page
Letter of Transmittal
Table of Contents
Executive Summary
Introduction
Technical Approach
Operations Plan (Mgt Approach)
Conclusion
Appendix/Appendices
Also, remember to use page numbers, headings, headers if desired, visuals as much as possible, and times new roman or other serif font for body text. Headings and titles should be in Arial or some other sans serif font.
PROPOSAL PRESENTATIONS
Groups will present in the following order:
Group 1, 2, 3, then 4
Please refer to the Proposal Presentation Rubric for grading information. Remember to use a title screen, hook, propsoal overview, and then your content -- and finish with a thank you/questions slide.
As your final checklist, use the Proposal Grading Rubric to make sure you've included everything.
Below are other documents you may need:
Outline for the Technical Approach
PowerPoint Presentation for the Operations Plan (this is only one slide!)
Technical Approach Grade Sheet
Again, check out the MERC proposal and the other sample proposal linked below.
In class Monday night, we'll deliver the proposal presentations then briefly wrap-up the semester. Be prepared to talk about which assignment helped you the most.
Please be in touch with me if you have questions!
