Christopher Jordan Murdock |
Christopher Murdock is a Junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering on the Pre-Medical track at Mercer University. He is set to graduate in 2016 in hopes to also complete a minor in Business Administration and Chemistry. When asked about what first drew him to Biomedical Engineering, he said he loved being able to help others. He also cited his Mother, Patricia Murdock, as one of his major influences: “My mother contracted Breast Cancer when I was 7 years of age. At that point in time, I knew that I wanted to be in a field that could help others such as my Mother. My Mother and Father have always told me helping others is more important than any materialistic thing.” Christopher said this is what inspired him to pursue Medicine as a career, and he hopes to uphold what his parents told him and become a successful Traumatologist/Orthopedic Surgeon who always keeps his patients first. When he isn’t trying to finish his school work, Chris serves as a member of Mercer Ambassadors, Junior Class President, Alpha Tau Omega, among various other organizations where he tries to give back to Mercer University as much as it has given to him. You can also find him researching with various professors on campus or tutoring fellow classmates in Mathematics in the Academic Resource Center. |
