David McIntyre is Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Stetson School of Business on the Macon, Georgia campus. Dr. McIntyre teaches principles of accounting, cost accounting, auditing and accounting information systems at the undergraduate level and managerial accounting and fraud examination at the graduate level. His research interests include issues in accounting education, financial performance in regulated industries and the effects of strategic management decisions on firm performance. Before returning to academia, Dr. McIntyre was employed for several years in the telecommunications industry in Orlando, Florida. He held several positions in the accounting and finance organization of a major telecommunications provider. Dr. McIntyre is an active advocate of the accounting profession. He is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he teaches continuing education classes in auditing and information systems. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.Complete Curriculum Vita |
