(’92) – Auburn University
Dr. Frank Mixon joined the SSBE faculty at Mercer University
in 2009, after serving on the faculty at Auburn University.
His research interests lie in the areas of public choice,
labor economics, applied econometrics and economic
education. Dr. Mixon has published in a number of
academic journals, such as Oxford Bulletin of Economics &
Statistics, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of
Money, Credit, and Banking, Journal of Applied Econometrics,
Public Choice, Economic Inquiry, Southern Economic Journal
and Journal of Applied Statistics. He serves on the
editorial boards of the Journal of Economics and Finance
Education and the International Journal of Business
and Economics. Dr. Mixon’s book, Expanding
Teaching and Learning Horizons in Economic Education,
was published in 2009 by Nova Science Publishers.
