My Papers
While at Raytheon, I wrote several
papers regarding multimedia production and quality management, as
well as one summarizing the findings of my dissertation. These papers
are linked below.
THE
EFFECTIVENESS OF PLAY AS AN INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY ON PROCEDURAL
LEARNING, LEARNER ENJOYMENT, AND INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
This paper summarized the interesting findings of
my dissertation research -- which were not exactly what I had expected!
I presented this paper at an instructional design conference at
the University of Georgia in May of 2001.
MEASURING
QUALITY IN THE PRODUCTION OF WEB-BASED TRAINING: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN,
PROCESS CONTROL, AND USER SATISFACTION
This paper, in .pdf format, discusses quality assurance
techniques applied to web-based training production. I presented
this paper at the 2001 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation,
and Education Conference in Orlando, Florida.
AN
E-LEARNING PRIMER
This paper, also in .pdf format, was written in 2001
to explore, in general terms, the concept of e-learning and characteristics
unique to the production of web-based training.
LEARNING
THROUGH PLAY: THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PLAY ON PROCEDURAL LEARNING,
LEARNER ENJOYMENT, AND INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Whew! My dissertation, presented to my committee at
the University of South Alabama in March of 2000. With a few changes,
they signed...and I became a Ph.D. in Instructional Design.
